n the fall of 2009 I took a trip to Thailand, Cambodia, and Loas. I filmed my experience playing music with the locals, exploring the captivating islands of southern Thailand, adventuring through the jungles of Cambodia to historic Anchor Watt, and chartering a slow boat and floating down the Mekong river for seven days with twelve strangers. As my English mate Simon would say. “It was pure Genius!”

I’ve been skating since I was about 10. I remember people riding banana boards on ramps in Sedona, Arizona behind the trailer I lived in. I got a board and I was hooked. It took me many hours of practice to learn just the basics but I’m so happy I have skateboarding in my life. I’m not even close to professional and there are 10 years olds that can kick my ass, but I love it. Here’s a video of what I was doing the last couple months in Santa Monica.

Wandering in the mountains of Montanita, Ecuador I came across Haciento and the Canopy Montanita zip lines adventure crew. Turns out I was just in time to shoot a video. I jumped into the pickup truck we picked up an excited group of people in town and jostled them back to the zip lines. It’s quiet something flying through the clouds like a bird looking all around at the beautiful beaches, trees, mountains, and sky. I’m super glad I decided to just get lost and see what I found. There is a mystical connection I share with horses. When they allow me onto their backs I am feel time slows down. I am free and powerful and connected to an energy larger than myself. Watching them interact with each other and play as a family is such a wonderful loving energy to be around. I met April Joga a few years ago when I was playing a cowboy in an indie film and we have stayed friends ever since. We have much to learn from our highly intuitive, curious, and playful friends, the horse and I look forward to the journey.

After 34 years I finally made it to my family park in upstate New York in Malta County just outside Balston Spa. The park belonged to my Grand Father, Nelson Collamer. My friend Nate Wright and I drove across country from Los Angeles to New York filming, playing music, and meeting many great fathers along the way. This is an improvisational song about fathers day sung on June 17th 2012.

I met this cool guy in the subway tunnel in San Francisco and we got to talking about life and conspiracy theory stuff and I asked him if I could play a song on his guitar and he said, “Ahh, Sure I guess.” He ended up singing some good backing vocals. I made the song up on the spot about my love for traveling and meeting people.The background footage was filmed at the beach outside San Luis Obispo and the hiking is at Mt.Madonna and adjacent Bishop Peak. Some cool briar trails through flowers and thick green trees lead to a giant white cross. Enjoy!
